About Us
Caring for the Female Caregiver
Our goal, as a nonprofit, is to be the place where moms and female caregivers can go to find support from others on a similar journey of caring for someone with special needs. Whether it is connecting over dinner, discussions on Facebook, or casual conversations over coffee, we create opportunities for you to connect with other women and give yourself a moment to refuel your mindset.

My Story
Founder & Executive Director
Amanda Moore
Hi, I’m Amanda — a mom, a caregiver, and the founder of Seeds of Hope.
When my son was diagnosed with a disability, I found myself surrounded by supportive friends and family, yet still deeply alone. I didn’t know anyone else walking the special needs path. I felt isolated — like I was living on an island of unfamiliar terms and uncertain futures.
In those quiet, heavy moments, I held on to the truth I had learned from Scripture: “Two are better than one... A cord of three strands is not easily broken.” (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12) It reminded me I wasn't meant to walk this journey alone — none of us are.
That’s how Seeds of Hope began. A small group of ten caregiving women started gathering regularly in Marietta, GA. We cried, prayed, laughed, and leaned on one another. Every time we came together, it felt like a little seed of hope had been planted.
In 2024, Seeds of Hope became an official organization, now rooted in North Alabama. Today, we continue to gather mothers and female caregivers of people with all types of disabilities — to connect, encourage, and grow seeds of hope together.
One of my favorite scriptures is Galatians 6:9: “Let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap a harvest, if we do not give up.”
As a caregiver, every act of love — no matter how small — is a seed planted in faith. And though we may not see growth right away, I’ve come to believe with all my heart: something beautiful will bloom in time, if we do not give up on hope.
Because incredible things can grow from even the smallest seed.
